Osage Students Win Adobe Brain Bowl!

Students from Osage's Gifted and Talented Program and SAT class competed against New America High School in the Brain Bowl, sponsored by Adobe. They answered SAT questions in Math and Language Arts to win the competition and bring home a trophy! Eight of the top ten finishers were CHSC Lions! Adobe will sponsor Brain Bowls each quarter as a way to support education and identify students who can work there as summer interns. Adobe held a career panel with employees from IT, HR and Legal to discuss career options. Polly Baca, first Latina elected to the Colorado State Senate, gave a motivational speech on the power of education. Congratulations to our students and to their coaches John Garrison, Math Teacher, and Joshua Trinidad, Assistant Principal!

CHSC Students Raise Money for Make-a-Wish and Compete in the Big Idea Project State Preliminaries

Please join us in congratulating T'Yonna H., Julie G., Aleah R., and Rosie M. for a job well done at the Big Idea Project state prelims in May. These young women did an outstanding job representing themselves and competed against 12 other schools.  To compete, they did a presentation to a panel of judges, they screened a video they made about their project, and they completed a Q&A with those same judges. Later, T'Yonna did a brief presentation about their project to over 250 people!  Although they were a little disappointed that they didn't advance to the final state competition, they were still very proud of their accomplishments and able to celebrate with their families with big smiles.
